Spooky walk across the moor this Friday 23rd October By Callum D on 20 October 2015 (updated 4 March 2022) In public Light Blue Troop / This coming Friday was will be doing a night hike across the moor from Dick Hudson’s pub to the Cow & Calf rocks. We will be doing a Halloween walk across the moor and parents are asked to note the following arrangements: Please drop your son or daughter off in the car park of the Dick Hudson’s pub at 19:00 prompt. Dick Hudson’s is located on Otley Road on the moor above Eldwick / Bingley. You should collect your son or daughter from the Cow & Calf rocks car park (the rocks not the pub) at 21:15. It is essential that Scouts wear proper walking boots with ankle support and wear / bring waterproofs too. It can be quite windy on the moor tops so make sure you have layers of warm clothing. Please do note that for safety reasons if Scouts do not have proper walking boots with ankle support they will not be able to go on the walk. As this is a Halloween walk, Scouts are very welcome to come in fancy dress or bring lanterns.
