Scout meetings start again on 7th September 5 September 2012 (updated 4 March 2022) | By Callum D Scout meetings start again after the summer holidays on Friday 7th September, so make sure you are there. The first meeting back will be held at the Scout Hut at the normal times of 19:15 to 21:15 and you should attend in uniform. A full programme up to the half term holiday has been prepared and will be published in the next couple of days. In order for us to manage our waiting list, it is important that we understand if any Scouts have decided that they will no longer be a member of the Troop. Therefore, if your son or daughter has decided that they will not be attending any more we would be grateful if you could let us know by sending an email to leaders@1stbenrhyddingscouts.org.uk as soon as possible. Any Scout who has not attended by 28th September it will be assumed that they have left, unless we hear otherwise beforehand. Obviously we hope that everyone will choose to continue, and our programme for this half term will be great fun. Look out for details shortly of our first weekend away which will be to Hag Dyke on 5th October 2012.

IMPORTANT BIG CAMP INFORMATION 3 May 2012 (updated 4 March 2022) | By Callum D BIG CAMP starts on Friday. Please read this important notice with some final information. Can all parents of Scouts attending BIG CAMP please make sure that you have read the information sheet that has been posted on the BIG CAMP page of this web site. Please especially take note of the arrival and departure arrangements and ensure that you arrive at camp on time at 19:00. We reiterate that the camp is going to be very busy, so please allow extra time for your journey and prepare to be patient on arrival. All Scouts should arrive at camp in their uniform shirts and neckers. We will be serving a late supper on Friday evening, but there will be no evening meal provided, so please make sure your son or daughter has eaten before coming to camp. There are some additional items of personal equipment that your son or daughter should bring. Please send them with a white T-shirt. Sorry, I don’t know why, but the organisers have asked for it. They should also have a T-shirt to wear over their swimwear if they take part in any of the water activities. We would also recommend that they take a camping chair or stool. Finally, we hope all Scouts have a great weekend.
