Scout meeting Friday 26th April 25 April 2013 (updated 4 March 2022) | By Callum D The meeting this Friday is at the Scout Hut and is preparation for the Torch Race. During the meeting we will practice and select a team for this year’s Torch Race. The Torch Race is a District competition of a relay race from Otley town centre to the top of The Chevin. Scouts should come to the meeting with waterproofs and with trainers. Scout uniform should still be worn.

Reminder about St George’s Day practice tonight 19 April 2013 (updated 4 March 2022) | By Callum D As per the programme, the meeting tonight is a practice for the St George’s Day parade on Saturday. This will be held in the swimming pool car park and Scouts should meet at the swimming pool at the normal meeting time of 19:15. All Scouts can attend the practice, not just those who are going to the parade on Saturday, and after the practice the Scouts will move on to the Scout Hut to continue the meeting. The meeting will finish at the normal time of 21:15 at the Scout Hut.
St George’s Day Parade this Saturday 18 April 2013 (updated 4 March 2022) | By Callum D PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF COLLECTION POINT – NOW MAIN CAR PARK On Saturday 20th April the Scouts will be on parade for St George’s Day. Please note these important arrangements. The parade is an annual event, which is year is taking place in Otley. Scouts need to meet at 14:00 on East Chevin Road in Otley wearing full uniform (including wearing smart shoes, not trainers). Please be on time as the parade will move off shortly after. After the parade and a church service Scouts should be picked up from the main car park in Otley at 16:15. All Scouts are asked to attend.
Wide Game Friday 12th April 11 April 2013 (updated 4 March 2022) | By Callum D The Scout meeting this Friday is a Wide Game – of meeting place The meeting this Friday is a wide game on Ilkley Moor. We will be meeting in the car park below the paddling pool at the normal meeting time of 19:15, and you should drop your child off there. Scouts should come prepared to be outdoors, bringing warm clothes, waterproofs and wearing hiking boots. The meeting will finish at the normal time of 21:15, and children should again be collected from the car park below the paddling pool. Can PLs make sure all their Patrol are aware.
Important reminder for Parents 1 March 2013 (updated 4 March 2022) | By Callum D Just a quick reminder that tonight only Scouts who are in Lion, Kestrel and Raven patrols should come to the meeting. Next week (8th March) only Scouts in Wolves, Eagle and Hawk patrols should attend. This is to enable some focussed training sessions to develop key Scouting skills. The same pattern will follow for the two subsequent weeks. Full details can be found on the programme page.
Summer Camp 2013 17 February 2013 (updated 4 March 2022) | By Callum D We have started to plan our annual week long Summer Camp. Summer Camp this year will be from 3rd to 10th August in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales. Please see the first letter about camp, which you can open by clicking on the link below. Summer Camp is open to all members of the Troop. For us to finalise our plans we need to know how many Scouts will be joining the camp. Please complete and return the form at the bottom of the letter as soon as possible, and by Friday 12th April at the latest.
