Scout Hike across the Moors

   |   By

Had a fantastic evening hiking right across Ilkley Moor. The weather held out right until the end and all the scouts kept a good pace.

5km completed, navigation skills practiced, and all scouts in good spirits at the end; a cracking walk for a great evening!

Hag Dyke Working Party

   |   By

Fantastic weather allowed a productive working party at Hag Dyke to get a lot done.

Painting, filling, cleaning, joinery, and some electrical work all complete, and preparation completed for the next bits of work. Just some of the tasks needed to get the hostel ready for our Hag Dyke open day in August! A good weekend was had by all.

    New Water Supply

       |   By

Hag Dyke has just installed a new water treatment plant. The project has been delayed almost 2 years by Covid but we now have a supply which meets the requirements for drinking water and is no longer the strange brown colour which will be familiar to regular visitors.

We are grateful to the many friends and supporters who contributed to the substantial cost of this project which further improved the facilities of our unique hostel.
