January sees the Troop Annual Christmas trip to Hag Dyke.

If your child is keen to attend please can you complete and return the Permission Form together with a cheque for £30 by December 1st 2017.

Just a reminder that on Sunday 12th November it is the Remembrance Parade in Ilkley.

Please meet at Whitton Croft Road (behind the library) at 2.30pm. Service is at 3pm at the Cenotaph . Please come in full uniform with polished black shoes!! Please collect your child from here after the service – approx 3.30pm.

from the 10th November the troop will be split into Dark Blue troop (DB) & Light Blue Troop (LB)

Light Blue – Buffalo, Cobra & Hawk

Dark Blue – Owl, Kestrel & Lion

All other dates will be a joint activity (DB & LB)

This evening the scouts bought their own food as a patrol, cooked the food and ate the food all in just over an hour!!!! No excuse for camp now Scouts!!

Great weekend at Hag Dyke with the scouts demonstrating their map reading skills during Saturday’s hike. They also completed a series of fun team building challenges working within their patrols – a blind folded water carry, lead mine weigh in, and hypothermia simulation!

The scouts particularly enjoyed the sneaking wide game on Saturday night! Then on Sunday, Lyra and Nathan, two of our patrol leaders, prepared and then held an excellent  “scouts own” service in the highest chapel in England.

The next Hag Dyke weekend will be held on 12th – 14th January 2018. 

If you wish to attend Hag Dyke next weekend (29th/30th/1st) then please ensure your permission forms are handed in this Friday 22nd September 2017.

Summer Camp 2018 is planned to be from Saturday 28th July to Saturday 4th August 2018. It will be held in the UK. Details will follow but thought you might like to be aware of the dates to help with holiday planning !
